McClelland Barclay sterling silver Art Deco jewellery often included flora and fauna motifs. This brooch, a young lamb, or pony is enjoying gambolling amid flowers, leaves and a tree. Surrounded by a square frame, this lovely brooch captures the feeling of Spring! This brooch was made using the repoussé technique by Rice-Weiner & Co. between 1938 - 1943. It has a solid back, and the sterling silver appears to have a finish on it. A similar sterling silver is available. And you can find another little l in my collection.
