This wonderful Antique Victorian spider bar brooch is Circa 1890.
Set in 9ct Yellow Gold.
Spider or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was once a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Eras.
The brooch is adorned with a little spider set with a bright blue Aquamarine body, crowned with a creamy Pearl stone.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March and is adored for its beautiful clear Ocean blue colour which complements most skin types. The stone was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids, and was used as a token of happiness and good fortune.
Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.
The brooch is fitted with a sturdy pin and safety chain too.
